Desperate for accommodation at the Gold Coast over Xmas I rang just about every hotel, motel and service apartments in the area with only a couple offering a place at very expensive rates. I did a search on the Internet to see if we could hire a caravan/motor home as my niece lived on acreage so we not only would save $$$s but we would still be close to our family. I found a website called Private Caravan Hire and contacted 3 people in the Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast areas who were advertising vans that met our requirements. The first to respond had everything we wanted so we went with that. I was required to complete some paperwork, forward a deposit and the owner did everything else. We communicated on the phone regarding final arrangements and when we arrived at my nieces house the van was set-up and ready for occupancy. We had a great two weeks - being close by my family yet still having our own space and privacy. I received an email from the owner thanking us for returning the van in the same condition it was delivered in and also advising that the full deposit had been returned to my bank account.I thoroughly recommend this site and definitely will use it again in the future.

Just to let you know we returned home today after three fantastic weeks in Southern NSW - we got there and just stayed. The van was great and everything worked out well. By hiring we had a greater idea of what type of van we want and what our car can tow. We didn't have too much trouble and the van went really well. We called the owner a couple of times to clarify a few things and all went well from there on. Thanks for arranging this part of our holiday it was really great.
