Caravan Owners

  • List Your Caravan
  • Respond to Caravan enquiry for hire or swap
  • Communicate clearly with prospective renters, being open and helpful and ensure people are clear about what they are getting
  • Check compatibility of vehicle to tow your Caravan (if towing)
  • Check suitability of renter or swapper and their ability to manage your vehicle
  • Keep communicating back and forth, while you negotiate all the details until you are comfortable with the arrangements
  • Organise insurance cover for hire, we can refer you to a leading insurer for the appropriate policy. You can incorporate this fee into your hire rate or as an additional charge
  • Complete Hire Agreement, signed and returned ensures agreement becomes active
  • Organise deposit payment
  • Contact hirer prior to pick up to ensure all arrangements are as agreed
  • Check your Caravan RV equipment is working well, gas compliance certificate is displayed
  • Check Caravan RV is in good working order, lights working, tyres inflated, etc


Owners when renter is picking up Caravan RV

  • Advise the renter of any special conditions, no smoking etc
  • Take balance of payment
  • Take security bond, complete renters credit card details
  • Supply renter with your contact and road side assistant details
  • Complete Minor Damage section on hire Agreement, signed by both parties
  • Reinforce correct loading of the Caravan, ensure correct and safe connections between tow vehicle and Caravan and talk about towing safely and driving safely
  • Pass on any Caravanning tips, increasing the potential for a great Caravan RV experience

 
Caravan Hire  Helpful Checklist  For Renters

  • Find a suitable Caravan RV
  • Complete online enquiry
  • Check compatibility of your vehicle to tow the Caravan, type of towbar, maximum load capacity, couplings etc. (if towing).
  • Update your skills required for touring and towing
  • Check suitability of owner or swapper
  • Keep communicating back and forth, while you negotiate all the details until you are comfortable with the arrangements.
  • Complete Hire Agreement, signed and returned ensures agreement  becomes active
  • Pay deposit
  • Check Towing information
  • Ensure the owner has suitable insurance cover
  • Contact owner prior to pick up to ensure all arrangements are as agreed


Renters on pick up of Caravan RV for hire

  • On pick up check Caravan RVs equipment is working well
  • On pick up check Caravan RV is in good working order, lights working tyres inflated. etc. (if touring).
  • Give credit card details for security bond or other form of payment as requested by owner. Payment will be refunded according to the hire agreement.
  • Take the owners contact and road side assistance details
  • Complete Minor Damage section of Hire Agreement, signed by both parties
  • Make balance of payment
  • Seek the owners knowledge on how to load correctly, safe connection between tow vehicle and Caravan RV and talk about driving safely when towing and touring
  • Ask the owner about any tips on their caravanning experiences


Hire Rates Guidelines - What is my Caravan RV worth?

State your Low season and High Season Rate this amount can then be adjusted according to the requirements of hire. Once you are supplied with complete details of when, how and where from your enquirer, you can readjust your hire rate accordingly.

When evaluating the hire rate consider the unique characteristics of your Caravan RV and take into account the following:
 

  • Model/Year
  • Berth/Size
  • Condition of Caravan RV
  • Toilet/Shower
  • Air Conditioning
  • Annex/Extras
  • Inclusions/Conveniences
  • Stationary
  • Touring/Towing


Seasonal Pricing adjustments include Christmas, school holidays, long weekends, and special events a rate variance/surcharge may apply to these periods.

Conditions of Use may require adjusting the hire rate.  A stationary vehicle will vary compared to a towing/touring vehicle.

Additional charges to be considered that may be incorporated into the hire rate as an all inclusive hire rate or as additional charges include:

Gas Bottle Refill  -  Cleaning Fee -  Insurance Contribution  -  One Way Fee                           


The Bond is held but not included in the above and the Insurance Excess is recorded on the Hire Agreement.
